Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Stefanie Adam. She joined us earlier this year as an intern and then recently became an associate on our Business Industry team.

Originally from a small town in Iowa, Stefanie moved to the area to be near all of the beautiful parks and variety of outdoor activities. She’s currently finishing her degree in business administration from Black Hills State University and will graduate in December 2022. She’s also spent the past seven years managing Smoking Gun Indoor Range and Training Center.

In her role, Stefanie’s hoping to contribute with the kind and positive staff and make taxes as enjoyable as possible for every client. So far, she says she enjoys the firm’s team dynamic. Stefanie appreciates that everyone works together to solve problems and recognizes and utilizes others’ strengths.

Most of Stefanie’s free time is spent with her 95-pound German Shephard/Catahoula Leopard mix, Hank. She also says that she’s got too many hobbies at this point. She enjoys refinishing furniture, cooking, and baking (feeding people is her love language). Stefanie’s also a runner, having completed a full marathon and a couple of half marathons. She also reads every day and is always looking for book suggestions.

WHAT’S THE BEST MEAL YOU’VE EVER HAD?

Volquetero, a family-style meal from Puyo, Ecuador, consisting of lupini beans (chochos), plantain chips (chifles), salad (tomato and red onion vinaigrette) with tuna and fresh lemon. I was there visiting my friend Jessy who lived with me as an exchange student in high school.

WHAT’S YOUR SECRET TALENT THAT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT?

It’s a work in progress, but I am studying German. My mother is from Germany and has spoken it to me my entire life. I understand it quite well but have a hard time articulating the words myself. I’ve been working with a tutor one-on-one weekly (when I’m not in school). I’d like to surprise my mom with a trip to Germany to visit family and actually have the ability to communicate effectively on my own.

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHY?

My next big trip will be to Patagonia. The region is diverse and has endless activities.
