Meet our new HR Generalist, Adam Hosch, as he answers some questions about himself!
- What’s your name? Adam Hosch
- What’s your title? Human Resources Generalist
- When did you start? Sept. 16, 2024
- What do you do here? I am a Human Resource Generalist. I am responsible for processing payroll, administering benefits and leave, assisting in recruitment and onboarding new staff, and being a support to current employees.
- Where did you or do you go to school, and if you got a degree, what was it in? I have an associate’s degree from Western Dakota Technical Institute in Law Enforcement. I have a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University in Exercise Science. I also have a bachelor’s degree is from the University of Minnesota-Crookston in Accounting.
- What did you do before you came to the firm? I was the Finance Officer for the City of Sturgis before coming to work for Casey Peterson.
- Do you belong to any professional or community organizations? Tell us about them. I am a member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This organization works with employers to recruit, higher, advance, and retain talented workers. It is the world’s largest professional organization for human resource professionals.
- What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to own and operate my own gym.
- What do you do for fun? I love to run, read, and spend time with my family. I have been blessed with an amazing son and I spend most of my free time with him.
- What’s your favorite book? My favorite book is actually a book series: “The Wheel of Time.”
- What’s your favorite movie? “Crazy, Stupid, Love”
- Who’s your favorite band? Shinedown
- What’s your favorite song? “I Dare You” by Shinedown
- What’s on your bucket list? I want to travel.
